Albert Mondor, DTA, B.Sc.
Albert Mondor has a diploma in ornamental horticulture and a degree in plant biology. A passionate horticulturist and garden designer for over 30 years, he has a deep understanding of plants — what works where, as well as why and how — and can name any plant and its Latin genus name. He’s particularly good at extreme landscaping on buildings and other infrastructure.
In addition to teaching courses and lecturing at conferences across Canada, Albert has written a weekly gardening column for the Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec since 1999. In 2018, he published Le nouveau potager, his tenth book. He’s a regular guest and contributor to radio and television programs and hosts The Trendy Gardener on Météo Média and the internet. His blog, Extreme Horticulture, discusses all things urban horticulture.
