Natura Towers (Interior)

The Vision

The Natura Towers building in Lisbon is a model of green building design, winning several sustainable design awards and inspired by the harmonious functioning of nature. A lush green wall in the lobby underscores the eco-friendly motif, making the space feel like a little oasis away from the rush and noise of the city.

The Details

Located in the main entrance, the garden is split in two by a waterfall cascading over black slate. Species such as Philodendron, Scindapsus, Pteris, Peperomia and Davallia provide a leafy base, while larger aroids like Philodendron Burle Marx, Philodendron giganteum and Anthurium veitchii emphasize the tropical feel of the waterfall. Installed in 2009, the wall has flourished over the years, with some plants growing quite large as they’ve matured.
