The Vision
Young people today spend less time outdoors than any previous generation, and much of their indoor time is spent in educational settings. Collège Catholique Samuel-Genest’s living wall was installed to bring nature into the library while serving as a tool for teachers to engage students to learn about biodiversity, nature and environmental stewardship.
The Details
Unable to attach to the existing building, a free-standing living wall with a water reservoir was designed and strategically placed in the library to attract students. This beautiful ecosystem purifies the air and provides students with a quiet space to study surrounded by nature.
